The architects describe the home as homes within a house, half hidden corners, shadows and recollection, kindness and tenderness, measure and proportion, all breathe in this house. When visitors discover even more. Wood and more wood all types, colors, smells and textures, is home to a carpenter who enjoys her profession, is the carpenter working with me since two decades ago.
Pleural spaces of transition. Think and build a house for a couple, means knowing your privacy, these people have been intimidated. They understood the suffering and sacrifice that is involved in this project of life. The house is designed from the inside out and this is the result and fruit of years of inquiries rewarded, sketches, scale models, meetings, good understanding, and understanding with the owners. Every corner, every line drawn represents a thought, represents an action. The house is full of cuotidianas actions, sometimes obvious and sometimes not so much.
A half-buried plant (facilities, garage and studio) and two plants shape and constrain the actions in their daily lives. The house gives a part of your garden to be a public space without physical enclosure to the street. The household materials (concrete, wood and thermoarcilla) are used in all its literalness, without masking or treatment, in all its pure rawness, this gives the whole house, almost monastic austerity comfortable.
